Two McPherson County Commissioners File for Re-Election
Becker, Kueser seek new four-year terms in November general election
McPHERSON, Kan. — Two county commissioners announced during Monday's commission meeting they have filed for re-election to the board, with both citing a desire to maintain the county's current direction.
District 1 Commissioner Keith Becker, who serves as board chairman, and District 2 Commissioner Tom Kueser formally announced they will seek new four-year terms in the Nov. 4 general election. Becker said he wants to continue the board's current momentum into the future. Both commissioners were elected to their current terms in 2021 and took office in January 2022. The third member of the commission, District 3 Commissioner David O'Dell, was elected in November 2024 and sworn in earlier this month to serve as vice chairman. His seat will not be on the ballot until 2028. Winning candidates from the November election will take office Jan. 12, 2026.
