LAWRENCE, Kan. — Motorists on the K-10 South Lawrence Trafficway will navigate major lane realignments and closures starting Wednesday as part of the Kansas Department of Transportation's ongoing $171 million project to expand the corridor to four lanes, according to KDOT.

The U.S. 40/Sixth Street ramp onto westbound K-10 will close for construction until November, routing detoured drivers along Sixth Street, Wakarusa Drive and Bob Billings Parkway.

Meanwhile, the U.S. 40 ramp onto eastbound K-10 and the eastbound exit to Bob Billings Parkway will reopen after being closed since February. Traffic between the two interchanges will shift to one lane in each direction on newly completed eastbound pavement.
