HUTCHINSON, Kan. — City of Hutchinson public works crews have reduced traffic to a single lane on portions of 30th Avenue and Plum Street in preparation for a water valve replacement project scheduled for next week.

The intersection remains open, but motorists will encounter lane closures on the north side of 30th Avenue and the south side of Plum Street. The temporary reductions will allow crews to safely complete preparatory groundwork ahead of the main project.

City officials said additional details regarding the construction timeline and what neighboring residents can expect during the valve replacement will be released at a later date.
