Mies Construction closed Navaho Avenue north of Pueblo Avenue on Monday, Aug. 10, to remove pavement and replace a water main. Access to Navaho Avenue from Pueblo Avenue is prohibited, and the road is closed to through traffic south of Commanche Avenue. Residents will still have access from Commanche Avenue. Work is expected to conclude by Aug. 24, weather permitting.
Farther east, McCownGordon Construction will begin temporary lane closures on Ohio Street between The Midway and Elmhurst Boulevard on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 6 a.m., to complete utility and parking lot improvements for the Salina Health Education Foundation. At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction on Ohio Street during the project, which is scheduled to wrap up by Sept. 2.
