If you're trying to send us a press release, general feedback, story idea, or pitch, please use our contact us page or email us at feedback@citizenjournal.us. We won't respond to those using the methods here.
If you have a strong news tip, you're in the right place.
- There is some sort of documentation or evidence supporting the tip. Hunches and speculation do not rise to this level.
- There is a clear issue with real-world consequences. Be specific.
- It's newsworthy. Something that we should and would dedicate real man-hours into.
Examples:
- Here is evidence that a politician/public official is breaking the law.
- Here is proof that a company/government entity is acting unethically.
We will contact you using the method you provide us. For example, if you provide us an email, we will contact you via email only. If you contact us via Signal, we will only use Signal to communicate with you.

Signal
Signal is a free and open source app which offers end-to-end encryption for messaging, video, calls and files. Signal retains only your phone number, when you first registered with the service and when you were last active. The app also allows messages to self-destruct, removing them from the recipient’s and sender’s phones (once it’s been seen) after a set amount of time.
