Tiffany Neel opens new American Family Insurance agency in McPherson

MCPHERSON, Kan. — Tiffany Neel has opened a new American Family Insurance agency in McPherson, drawing on 12 years of public service and her experience as a small-business owner to help residents better understand their coverage options.

Neel, who previously worked as a city clerk and operated both a restaurant and a home-based bakery, celebrated the launch of her new office at 118 N. Ash St. on April 1, she said. Motivated by her own past frustrations with agents who failed to clearly explain her policies, Neel purchased an available book of business after working at an agency in Hutchinson, according to Neel. She aims to prioritize transparent customer service alongside her daughter and new employee, Lexi Neel.

The McPherson Chamber of Commerce marked the agency's opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Chamber Ambassador Austin Russell served as emcee, and Board President-Elect Michele Graham presented Neel with a ceremonial First Dollar of Profit, a Chamber tradition welcoming new businesses to the community. City Administrator Austin Regier praised the launch, emphasizing the city's enthusiasm for maintaining American Family's long-standing local presence.

Neel highlighted the carrier's strong track record of paying out recent hail damage claims as a key draw for returning customers. American Family Insurance, which offers policies including home, auto, business and farm coverage, operates in 19 states.
