Sumner County to Host Main Street Alliance Training Event
MILAN, Kan. — The Sumner County Economic Development Commission will host a Main Street Alliance training event Thursday, Dec. 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Diamond Springs Venue, 112 S. Osborn.
Sumner County has been selected as a pilot program for a countywide Main Street initiative spanning the cities of Argonia, Belle Plaine, Caldwell, Conway Springs, Oxford and South Haven.
The new Sumner County Main Street Alliance will hold its first training session to coordinate tools, training and resources to strengthen each community's downtown while working together as one county team.
The agenda includes introductions, a countywide pilot project overview, an introduction to Main Street, lunch, promotion and design points presentation, annual training announcements, economic impact data reporting requirements and a question-and-answer session.
