Sumner County Health Department to Host Community Baby Shower Friday
WELLINGTON, Kan. — The Sumner County Health Department will host a Community Baby Shower Friday, featuring vendors, raffles, prizes and resources for expectant and new mothers, according to the department.
According to a post on the Sumner County Health Department's official Facebook page, the event will include several vendors and a variety of activities. Delta Dental has supplied both adult and children's tooth brush kits, and quilts and door prizes will be available through drawings. A snow cone truck, operated by the Defores, will also be on site, and Roslyn will be selling baked goods by donation.
Attendees who take the safe sleep class, which runs 10 to 15 minutes, may be eligible for a free pack and play. The class is open to those who are pregnant or up to six months postpartum.
Car seat raffles have been held at past events, according to the post.
Liz Moreland, who shared details about the event on behalf of the department, encouraged community members to attend.
"I encourage everyone to check it out that is able because it is really worth your time to stop by," Moreland said.
No additional details regarding the time or location of the event were included in the post.
