Statewide Silver Alert issued for missing McPherson man with dementia
Authorities say 76-year-old Dale Leach was last seen driving toward Pittsburg and may be in Missouri or Arkansas.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued a statewide Silver Alert on Wednesday for a 76-year-old McPherson man with dementia who disappeared after last being seen driving toward southeast Kansas, according to the KBI.
Dale Leach, who is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 230 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes, was last spotted around 5:45 p.m. Wednesday heading south on U.S. Highway 69 toward Pittsburg in a white 2011 Dodge Dakota with Kansas license plate 1163AES, authorities said.
Authorities believe Leach could be traveling through Missouri or Arkansas, and they urge anyone who sees him or his vehicle to immediately call 911 or the Anderson County Sheriff's Office at 785-448-5428.
