Southwest Newton road work to disrupt street parking starting Monday
Kansas Paving to resurface nine local streets by end of August
NEWTON, Kan. — Residents in several Newton neighborhoods will face street parking bans and active construction zones starting Monday, June 22 as the city begins its annual summer road maintenance. Crews from Kansas Paving will perform mill and overlay work across nine local roadways, including sections of South Poplar and Southeast 11th streets. The resurfacing is expected to wrap up by the end of August. Affected property owners will receive door hanger notices and must place trash carts at the curb before 7 a.m. on collection days during the project.
