South Hutchinson receives 2026 Waste Tire Grant for parks improvement

SOUTH HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The City of South Hutchinson is among 31 Kansas communities and school districts selected as a 2026 Waste Tire Grant awardee, according to Keep It Clean Kansas.

The grant program, announced March 10, aims to improve playgrounds and parks across the state using recycled waste tire materials.

South Hutchinson joins a diverse group of Kansas municipalities and unified school districts receiving funding, ranging from small rural cities such as Ashland and West Mineral to larger school districts including Colby Public Schools and Twin Valley.
