Sorensen, Davis, Hawkes Claim Titles at 9th Annual Turkey Creek Open
Four-division tournament showcases competitive golf across all age groups

Kelly Sorensen captured the Open Division title with a two-day total of 139 (-1) at the 9th annual Turkey Creek Open, held at Turkey Creek Golf Course. The tournament featured four divisions based on age and gender, with competitive fields in each category. Sorensen's one-under performance was enough to hold off Matt Sandbo, who finished second at 142 (+2), while Chris Adrian placed third with 150 (+10). In the Senior 1 division (ages 50-64), Scott Davis emerged victorious with a 143 (+3), narrowly defeating Craig Corrigan and Rich Olson, who tied for second place at 146.
The Senior 2 division (ages 65+) saw Cliff Hawkes post the tournament's best score with a 5-under-par 135, followed by Gary Holloway at 139 (-1) and Tony Fawl at 149 (+9). Kathy Miller claimed the Women's Division title with a score of 87 in the one-day competition, while the men's divisions played 36 holes over two days. Turkey Creek Golf Course will continue its busy tournament schedule with the Turkey Creek Member-Guest tournament slated for the following weekend, August 9-10.
