HAYS, Kan. — Families looking to beat the heat can now head to the Seven Hills Park splash pad, which has officially opened for the 2026 season. The free, zero-depth water playground at 33rd Street and Hillcrest Drive operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and features a touch-sensor activation system to conserve water. Hays Parks Director Jeff Boyle said crews completed comprehensive off-season maintenance on the facility's interactive nozzles and advanced filtration systems to ensure a safe environment for residents.
