School Board Approves Staff Pay Raises
Administrative increases tied to certified staff negotiations for 2025-26 school year.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson school board approved salary increases for administrative personnel in the upcoming 2025-26 school year in a 5-2 vote during their recent meeting, with classified employees set to receive a 2.5 percent pay raise. The board also unanimously ratified a new negotiated agreement with certified staff members in a separate 7-0 vote, with board members expressing gratitude to the district's negotiating team for their work in finalizing the contract.
Under the approved compensation plan, administrative staff and other employee groups will receive pay increases consistent with the rate negotiated for certified employees. The two dissenting board members did not publicly state their reasons for opposing the salary motion during the open session.
