Salvation Army to host annual fundraising dinner Aug. 8
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Salvation Army will host its annual "Fight for Hope" dinner Aug. 8 at the Salvation Army Community Center to raise funds for vital services supporting families across Reno County.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and feature live music, a catered meal from Salt City Brewery, a silent auction and building tours. Organizers expect the fundraiser to help sustain programs that serve people in need throughout the region.
"Join us for a powerful evening of live music, a catered meal from Salt City Brewery, a silent auction, building tours, and more," organizers said in promotional materials.
Individual tickets cost $50, while table sponsorships are available for $400 and include seating for eight people. Attendees must RSVP by calling (620) 663-3353 or emailing DJ.James@usc.salvationarmy.org.
The Salvation Army Community Center is located at 700 N. Walnut in Hutchinson. The facility serves as the local headquarters for the charitable organization's operations in the area.
Major DJ James is coordinating the event for the Hutchinson branch. The organization has been serving the community through various social services, including food assistance, emergency aid and family support programs.

The Salvation Army operates as part of the Central USA territory, which oversees operations across multiple states in the region. The Hutchinson location provides services to residents throughout Reno County.
