Salina teachers to see $1,000 base pay bump under tentative contract agreement
The negotiated deal also includes increased health benefits and longevity pay adjustments
SALINA, Kan. — Salina Public Schools teachers will see a $1,000 increase to their base salary and a $30 monthly bump in employer health benefit contributions under a tentative 2026-2027 contract agreement reached Thursday with the local teachers union. The deal with NEA-Salina also allows all prior years of district employment to count toward longevity pay and updates policies regarding dress codes, blackout leave dates and off-duty communication. The agreement now heads to district educators for a ratification vote before advancing to the Board of Education for final approval.
