Salina Public Schools to provide free summer meals and activities for youth
Monthlong program operates at five local sites with no registration required
SALINA, Kan. — Children ages 1 through 18 can receive free daily meals, participate in lunchtime activities and collect complimentary books this June as part of Salina Public Schools' Summer Food Program, with no registration or eligibility requirements needed.
The program runs June 1–30, excluding June 19, at five local sites including South High School and the Salina Fieldhouse. Accompanying adults may purchase breakfast for $3.50 and lunch for $5.75, according to Laine Norris, director of food and nutrition services for USD 305.
