Salina Public Schools resumes summer programs following severe storm closures
District office operations temporarily relocate to Hageman Education Center as recovery continues
SALINA, Kan. — Salina Public Schools will resume its summer school and food programs on Thursday following a multi-day closure caused by severe thunderstorms that battered the region earlier in the week. While the Salina Adult Education Center and special education services will also reopen, Heartland Early Education and the main USD 305 district office will remain closed, according to Communications Director Olivia Opat. All district administrative operations have been temporarily relocated to the Hageman Education Center at 409 W. Cloud St., with officials planning to release further operational updates on a day-by-day basis.
