Salina drilling equipment manufacturer wins state's top export honor
Company serves customers in more than 65 countries worldwide
SALINA, Kan. — Geoprobe Systems, a Salina-based drilling equipment manufacturer, has been named Kansas Governor's Exporter of the Year by the Kansas Department of Commerce and Kansas International Trade Coordinating Council. The award recognizes companies demonstrating exceptional commitment to expanding into international markets and outstanding export performance.
The honor was presented Thursday evening at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg during the To the Stars awards ceremony. Founded in 1987 by two local engineers, Geoprobe has grown from its Salina roots to serve customers in more than 65 countries worldwide. Company President Tom Omli and 28-year sales representative Lee Shaw accepted the award on behalf of the drilling industry leader, which continues to drive innovation in technology and service quality.
