SALINA, Kan. - Addressing potential concerns regarding downtown pedestrian space, developers for 244 S. Santa Fe Ave. confirmed their new inset patio will not encroach on the existing public sidewalk. Jeff Maes, a project representative for 1858 Properties, LLC, stated that while the new facade canopy will extend over the walkway, the dining patio itself will be set back from the building's current facade line.
City reviewing signage compliance at downtown storefront
SALINA, Kan. - Salina city staff will follow up regarding signage recently installed at a new downtown storefront to determine if design review board approval was required. During the meeting, Salina Downtown, Inc. notified the board that a new business had installed exterior signage, prompting questions about whether an application for a certificate of compatibility had been submitted. City officials confirmed they will reach out to the business owners to clarify the design review requirements and help address any potential compliance steps.
