SALINA — The Salina City Commission is set to consider a $782,411 contract to demolish the former Ambassador hotel at 1616 W. Crawford St. during its regular meeting Monday, June 1. Along with awarding the demolition bid to Salina-based Diehl Enterprises, the commission's agenda features a three-year agreement renewal with Flock Safety for 22 automatic license plate readers and a rezoning request to make way for a new surgery center on Fourth Street. The regular meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the City-County Building, immediately following a 2 p.m. study session to discuss the 2027 city budget.
