SALINA, Kan. — Businesses that suffered physical and financial damage when a severe storm with 113 mph wind gusts struck Salina on June 8 are being urged to report their losses through an online Economic Injury Worksheet. The data collected will help the office of Gov. Laura Kelly document the community's total losses and potentially support a request for a U.S. Small Business Administration disaster loan declaration to aid recovery efforts. Completing the form does not obligate owners to apply for or accept federal loans, but it provides state and local officials with critical information to assess the storm's overall economic impact on the region.
