Reno County sets public hearing for 620-acre Salt Lick golf resort STAR bond plans
Commissioners will review the proposed entertainment and tourism district plans on June 24
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County residents will have a chance to weigh in next month on proposed development plans for a 620-acre commercial entertainment and tourism district that could bring a massive golf resort, hunting facilities and retail to the area. The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. on June 24 at the Reno County Courthouse to consider adopting three specific STAR bond project plans for the Salt Lick development, which would use sales tax revenue to finance public infrastructure. Following the hearing, the commission could adopt the plans, a move that requires a two-thirds majority vote to advance the sprawling mixed-use project.
