HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Emergency Medical Services will mark the grand opening of two newly constructed stations with community open house events this month.
The first event is scheduled for Friday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the new station at 211 W. 5th Ave. in Hutchinson. A second open house will follow Friday, April 24, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the station located at 107 W. Fair St. in Arlington.
Both events will include station tours, EMS demonstrations, opportunities to meet staff and refreshments.
Dave Johnston, chief of Reno County EMS, said the new facilities reflect the organization's ongoing commitment to the county's residents.
"These new stations represent our continued commitment to delivering timely, high-quality emergency care to the residents of Reno County," Johnston said.
Officials said the updated facilities feature modern equipment, improved workflows and enhanced workspaces designed to benefit both patients and EMS personnel. The additions are expected to improve response times across urban and rural areas of the county.
