Reno County Courthouse entrances partially closed for roof work

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Visitors to the five-story Reno County Courthouse, which opened in 1931 at 206 W. First Ave., will face partial entrance barricades beginning Monday as crews install scaffolding for roof and dome repairs. To protect pedestrians from suspended loads, officials will temporarily close either the east stairs or the west-side stairs and accessible ramp, keeping one side open at all times during the lifting operations. Individuals requiring the ramp while it is blocked should allow extra time, as Reno County staff will escort them through the ground-floor employee entrance to access a basement elevator.
