Commission sets June 24 public hearing for Salt Lick resort funding plans

RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The Reno County Commission unanimously approved a resolution to hold a public hearing on June 24 to discuss the adoption of the Salt Lick Sales Tax and Revenue (STAR) bond project plans and Community Improvement District (CID) financing. The hearing, scheduled for 9 a.m. in the courthouse's Veterans Room, will cover three distinct phases of the proposed Salt Lick Golf & Hunting Resort redevelopment project, which was prepared in consultation with the Reno County Planning Commission. All project plans and proposed sales tax levies will be open for formal public comment during the proceedings.

County acknowledges underwriter for Salt Lick project bonds

RENO COUNTY, Kan. — The commission acknowledged an engagement letter with underwriter Crews & Associates to handle financing work for the Salt Lick Golf & Hunting Resort project. The agenda item was recorded merely as an acknowledgment of the letter, not a formal commission vote to approve the contract, leaving it unclear who officially authorized the engagement. The firm will manage the sales tax special obligation revenue bonds and Community Improvement District (CID) bonds, bringing necessary third-party expertise to a complex funding process.
