Reno County closes Victory Road Bridge for replacement

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Reno County Public Works has closed the Victory Road Bridge between Arlington Road and Lake Cable Road beginning April 15, 2026, for bridge replacement, according to a county press release.

The closure has no set end date. A separate nearby span — Lake Cable Road between Victory Road and Haven Road — was also closed beginning April 8, 2026, for bridge replacement, making it the second bridge closure in the immediate area within two weeks.

The back-to-back shutdowns are part of a broader county infrastructure effort. Reno County Public Works has noted that road and bridge closing schedules are subject to change without further notice.
