Reno County bridge reopens after replacement project completed

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Mohawk Road Bridge, located one-eighth of a mile south of Red Rock Road, has reopened to through traffic following the completion of a bridge replacement project, Reno County officials announced.

The bridge, designated as structure No. 14.85, had been closed since May 14, 2025, when the county shut it down for repairs. No timeline for the closure was given at the time of the initial announcement.

Reno County Public Works officials confirmed the project has been completed and the span is now fully open to motorists.
