Red Cross volunteer to share disaster response experiences at Cedars
Paul Czosnowski will detail deployments ranging from Hurricane Katrina to recent extreme weather events
MCPHERSON, Kan. — Red Cross volunteer Paul Czosnowski will share firsthand accounts of his two decades of disaster relief work during a free public presentation at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Cedars Event Center.
A former Indiana schoolteacher whose service began shortly after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Czosnowski will detail the challenges and rewards of deploying to crisis zones, including a 2025 response in Norman, Oklahoma, and recent trips to Missouri and Canada. The event will offer residents an inside look at the organization's frontline response to natural disasters, spanning hurricanes, tornadoes, fires and extreme cold.
