Railroad Crossing Repairs to Close Three McPherson Streets in September

MCPHERSON — Union Pacific Railroad will close three street crossings for reconstruction during September, with Maxwell Street crossing shutting down Sept. 3-5, Centennial Drive crossing closed Sept. 6-8, and South Main Street crossing blocked Sept. 19-20. The city recommends drivers use Main Street or Centennial Drive as alternates for Maxwell Street, 17th Avenue between First Street and Kansas Avenue for Centennial Drive, and Maxwell Street between Avenue A and Iron Horse Road for South Main Street, though officials warn the schedule could change with little advance notice.
