Polls Open Today for USD 418 Bond Election
Five polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across the district
MCPHERSON, Kan. — USD 418 voters are reminded that polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the district's $89.5 million bond election. The following locations are serving as polling sites: Calvary Baptist Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, 1st United Methodist Church, the District Extension Office and the Municipal Building.
The bond election consists of two questions. Question 1 ($62.5 million) would fund a new academic wing to replace the hex section of McPherson High School and would not require a property tax increase. Question 2 ($27 million), which can only pass if the first is also approved, would fund the conversion of Eisenhower Elementary School into a middle school and carries a projected 4.75-mill property tax increase.
Voters unsure of their assigned polling location can check online at https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/VoterView or call the county clerk at 620-241-3656. Election results will be posted on Citizen Journal this evening.
