Hutchinson Mayor Reminds Northwest District Residents About November Election
June 13, 2025

Mayor Stacy Goss is encouraging Northwest District residents to verify their voter registration ahead of the November 4 election, when her at-large council seat will be on the ballot.
Goss, who currently serves as an at-large city councilmember, announced she will seek election to represent the Northwest District in November. The mayor reminded residents that several important races will appear on the ballot, including City Council, School Board and Hutchinson Community College Board of Trustees positions.
"Since these races are nonpartisan, there will be no primary in August," Goss noted in her announcement. She emphasized the importance of voter registration for residents who may have moved, changed their names, or have children turning 18 before the election.
Residents can register to vote or update their information online through the Kansas Secretary of State's website at sos.ks.gov/elections/voter-registration.html. The site also allows voters to verify their current registration status.
Goss provided a map showing the boundaries of the Northwest District, which encompasses portions of north and west Hutchinson. The district includes areas around 47th Avenue, Plum Street, and extends to various residential neighborhoods in the northwest section of the city.
Voters with questions about registration or district boundaries can contact Goss at 620-474-5829 or stacy.goss@hutchgov.com. The November 4 election will determine representation for multiple local government positions that directly impact city services and policies.
The transition from at-large to district representation reflects ongoing changes in Hutchinson's municipal government structure, aimed at providing more localized representation for different areas of the city.
