Now Hiring: Freelance Photographer

Citizen Journal is looking for a freelance photographer to cover McPherson Middle School and McPherson High School events during the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a flexible, independent contractor position ideal for someone who enjoys capturing the energy of local athletics, fine arts performances, and other student activities.

What we're looking for:

A reliable photographer with their own camera equipment who can shoot events on evenings and weekends as scheduled. Experience with sports and event photography is preferred but not required — a good eye and dependable attendance matter most.

Details:

• Flexible, freelance schedule based on the school event calendar
• Coverage includes athletics, performing arts, school functions and more
• Photos will be uploaded to the Citizen Journal website
• Must have own camera and equipment
• Pay is per event
