Newton trash collection schedule shifts for Juneteenth holiday
Thursday and Friday routes will be picked up a day early this week
NEWTON, Kan. — Newton residents will need to roll their trash bins to the curb a day early this week as city offices close on Friday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Trash normally collected on Thursday will be picked up on Wednesday, June 17, and Friday routes will shift to Thursday, June 18. City officials remind impacted residents to have their bins ready at the curb before 7 a.m. on their rescheduled collection day to avoid missed pickups.
