Passing the One Big Beautiful Bill

Over the past four years, Kansans all across the Big First expressed grave concerns to me about our nation’s border security, skyrocketing prices, and a federal government that continually burdened their way of life in rural America through excessive regulations. On November 5, 2024, rejected even more taxes, Green New Deal regulations, and open border policies.

Last week, our Republican majorities succeeded in our campaign promises to uproot wasteful spending, prevent the average family from seeing a tax increase of $2,200, and deliver the largest tax cut for middle- and working-class families in American history. I am extremely proud of the work we did to give Kansas families, small businesses, and agricultural producers some much-needed relief and to continue getting our country back on track. The One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on President Trump's agenda and puts more money in the pockets of American families, secures our borders, and provides accountability for the taxpayer dollar. I cannot think of a better 249th birthday present for our great nation.

Celebrating 249 Years of Freedom

Last week, Americans from every corner of the country came together to celebrate 249 years of freedom, sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of our nation. As we gathered with friends and family, fired up the grill, and watched fireworks light up the sky, we celebrated the liberties we enjoy as the result of generations of sacrifice and hard work. I’m proud to stand with Kansans in honoring our nation’s founding and working every day to ensure the next generation inherits an America that is strong, free, and full of promise. I hope you and your family had a wonderful time celebrating our country's Independence Day!

Increasing Rural Access to Telehealth

Every American should have access to quality health care regardless of their zip code. I cosponsor the Equal Access to Specialty Care Everywhere (EASE) Act, which helps create a virtual specialty care provider network, increasing access to telehealth for rural communities. For too long, telehealth options have only been for large, population-dense cities with ample resources. That should and will change under our legislation, which fights hard for the rural communities that are the backbone of our country.

My first experience in Washington was as an intern for a Kansas Congressman, so I understand just how impactful a great internship can be. My Washington, D.C. office is accepting intern applications for Fall 2025! If you or a student you know is interested in applying, please visit my website before July 11 to fill out an application.

We’re also proud to assist Kansas veterans with accessing benefits and resolving issues with the VA. You can find helpful information and request services anytime at mann.house.gov, or feel free to call one of my offices in Washington, Manhattan, or Dodge City. My team and I are here to serve you.
