Mayor Jim Loving and Chamber Executive Director Debbie Hawkinson attended, and Chamber President Michele Graham of Farmers Alliance presented Adolf with the Chamber's ceremonial First Dollar of Profit, a tradition recognizing the start of a new business venture.
Adolf, who said in the Chamber's release that she had not expected to specialize in nails when she began cosmetology school, tied the salon to her faith and Ephesians 3:16-19: "I decided to base this business on a faithful foundation in the Lord," Adolf said.
The ceremony was at least the second ribbon cutting for a new McPherson business that Citizen Journal has covered this year, following a new lumber business in February.
The Chamber's release says the salon specializes in builder gel manicures, gel shellac manicures, basic and spa pedicures and other nail care meant to support the health and natural appearance of clients' nails. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday; the release directs customers to the salon's online booking site or its Instagram page to learn more or schedule an appointment.
