Museum Project Faces City Limits Hurdle
Moundridge declines to annex proposed Swiss Mennonite museum site, citing utility concerns.

MOUNDRIDGE - Plans for a new museum proposed by the Swiss Mennonite Cultural and Historical Association have been put on hold. Planning and Zoning Administrator Jon Kinsey presented the group’s request for a conditional use permit and a fee waiver to build on county property near Moundridge. However, commissioners tabled the item due to a number of unresolved issues, including the City of Moundridge declining to annex the property or provide water and sewer services, a pending floodplain study, and an upcoming traffic study for the intersection, which may be a candidate for a future roundabout.
