Mulvane Rallies Past McPherson Girls 39-38
Pups unable to hold halftime lead in one-point loss
McPherson saw a seven-point halftime lead slip away as Mulvane rallied for a 39-38 victory on the road Thursday night. The Pups led 16-9 at the break but were outscored in the second half as the Wildcats completed the comeback.
Peschel led all scorers with 26 points for Mulvane. McPherson received a balanced offensive effort led by Doile with 12 points. Whitfield added 8 points, Alvord contributed 6, and M. Sandbo scored 5. Cooper chipped in 3 points while Blake and Lowery each added 2.
The loss drops McPherson to 3-6 on the season.
