Multiple Community Organizations Receive Funding from McPherson County and Moundridge Foundations
Foundation Releases $35,000 in August

McPherson, KS- The McPherson County Community Foundation and Moundridge Foundation announced the distribution of over $35,000 in grant funding to local organizations during August 2025. The grants, awarded from four different community funds, support a diverse range of projects across McPherson County, from infrastructure improvements to youth programming and educational initiatives.
Notable recipients include STEPMc, which received the largest single award of $8,800 for their "Transforming Health Transforming Lives" program that promotes healthy lifestyles among program participants. Other significant grants went to the USD 400 Smoky Valley High School Theatre Program ($6,200 for lighting equipment), the Smoky Valley Historical Association ($3,600 for updating and reprinting the Lindsborg Business Directory), and the Galva Senior Center ($2,500 for front door replacement and window repairs). Additional funding supported McPherson USD 418's book study on "The Anxious Generation" ($1,915) and Associated Ministries' youth program in Moundridge ($1,530), demonstrating the foundations' commitment to education, community infrastructure, and youth development throughout the region.
