MS Boys Tennis Dominates Haysville West
McPherson middle school boys sweep singles, take five of six doubles matches.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson middle school boys tennis team rolled past Haysville West on Thursday, winning all seven singles matches and five of six doubles matches for a dominant home victory.
In singles, Baron Brown, Tanner Tully and Brekken Rothrock each posted 6-2 wins at Nos. 1, 4 and 7, while Cooper Hicks, Jensen Hoover, Enzo Schoming and Charlie Gustafson all won 6-0 at the No. 2 through No. 6 spots. In doubles, the No. 1 team of Tully and Hicks had the closest match with a 6-5 win over Fecher and Stieber, while Hutchinson and Bocox took the lone McPherson loss, falling 4-6 at No. 6 doubles.
