Moundridge Volleyball Captures Inman Invitational Championship
Wildcats Sweep All Five Opponents, Unruh Records 44 Kills in Dominant Performance

Moundridge High School volleyball claimed its first tournament championship of the season Saturday at the Inman Invitational, sweeping all five opponents in straight sets to complete a perfect 5-0 run through the competitive field. The Wildcats dispatched Sedgwick, Chaparral, Inman, Conway Springs, and Remington without dropping a single set, showcasing the offensive firepower and consistency that has defined their early-season success.
Senior Cammi Unruh led the dominant offensive attack with an outstanding 44 kills throughout the day's five matches, while Hattie Hecox provided excellent complementary scoring with 23 kills of her own. The duo's one-two punch at the net proved too much for opposing defenses to handle, as Moundridge controlled matches from start to finish. "We took a step forward this weekend and won our first tournament," said Coach Bryan Otte. "The key to our season will be getting back in the gym and continuing to improve." The championship performance signals the Wildcats' emergence as a force in their classification, with the team's focus now shifting to building on this momentum as they continue their season.
