Moundridge Opens Hillsboro Trojan Classic with Victory Over Clay Center
Wildcats improve to 11-1 with 58-44 win; face Sacred Heart Friday in tournament action
The Moundridge Wildcats boys basketball team opened play at the Hillsboro Trojan Classic with a 58-44 victory over Clay Center, improving their record to 11-1 on the season.
Shahan led the Wildcats with 20 points, while Churchill added 13 points. Burge, Lutz, and Schmidt each contributed 7 points, and Kanitz chipped in 4 points. The Wildcats' balanced scoring attack helped them pull away for the 14-point victory.
Moundridge will continue tournament play on Friday when they face Sacred Heart in the semi-finals of the Mid-Season Tournament at Hillsboro.
