Moundridge Celebrates Christmas with Community-Wide Open House and Craft Show

Moundridge will transform into a winter wonderland on Friday, November 22, as the community hosts its annual Christmas Open House and Craft Show featuring 42 vendor booths at Greer Gym from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., alongside a full day of downtown events, food, and holiday activities. The celebration includes the Christmas in Moundridge drawing at 1 p.m., giving participants a chance to win prizes including $50 Chamber Bucks or a grand prize of a $200 Visa gift card from The Citizens State Bank.

The festivities begin early with Gospel Mennonite Youth hosting a bake sale at 8 a.m. at Frontier Electric, while StepMC at West Zion Church offers biscuits and gravy on a free-will donation basis from 7 to 11 a.m. Throughout the morning, local businesses will open their doors with special events including Mercy Hospital's homemade cinnamon rolls and hospital tours from 8 to 10 a.m., Treasured Times Tea Room serving tea and scones from 8 to 11 a.m., and Goering Hardware offering pecans, ice cream, and prize drawings from 8 a.m. to noon. The Hub will feature a hot chocolate bar and horse carriage rides from 9 a.m. to noon, while Old Mill Fabric offers $2 off per yard on all fabric from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Families can enjoy lunch at United Methodist Church from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with bierocks, potato soup, and pie, while the Moundridge Food Market hosts treat and snack crafts along with a turkey walk every half hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grace Crossing will offer Christmas mini putt-putt golf and a photo booth during the same hours. The Moundridge Food Pantry encourages visitors to bring non-perishable food donations from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to receive a ticket for the Chamber Bucks drawing. Evening activities include Pine Village's chili and cinnamon rolls from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by live music at The Hub starting at 5:45 p.m. and a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Additionally, The Citizens State Bank is conducting a food drive through December 6, with donors entered into weekly drawings for $100 gift cards.
