Moundridge boys rally past Hesston 50-49 with 15-point fourth quarter
Wildcats erase five-point deficit to improve to 17-3
HESSTON, Kan. — Moundridge overcame a 40-35 deficit entering the fourth quarter, outscoring Hesston 15-9 in the final period to pull out a 50-49 road victory. H. Churchill led the Wildcats with 17 points and E. Shahan added 15 as Moundridge erased an early hole after trailing 27-25 at halftime. L. Schmidt contributed eight points in the win. Hesston, which led 16-14 after the first quarter and built its largest lead in the third, was paced by Unruh with 14 points, Landes with 13 and Lumbreras with 10. The Wildcats (17-3) next travel to Hutchinson Trinity.
