The McPherson Middle School orchestra delivered standout performances at the Patriot League Orchestra Festival in El Dorado, with the 7/8th grade combined orchestra earning a "1" rating — the highest possible score — from every judge. McPherson was one of only two schools at the entire festival to achieve that distinction.

The success extended well beyond the full ensemble, as several small groups also earned top ratings, including duets from Emily Taylor and Ty Johnson, Ross Little and Gracen Stucky, Kaylee Anderson and Madison Pollman, and Ava Andres and Vivian Bowman. The MMS String Quintet of Anna Kahle, Moses Thomason, Serenity Peery, Charley Duerksen, and Emily Taylor also received a "1."

Nine students took the stage as soloists, with seven earning "1" ratings: Kaylee Anderson, Ty Johnson, Anna Kahle, Ross Little, Maddison Pollman, Gracen Stucky, and Emily Taylor. Chandler Cannon and Logan Mendez each earned a "2" for their solo performances.

The results cap a day of impressive performances across the board for the MMS orchestra program, reflecting months of dedication and practice from every student who took the stage.
