McPherson Youth Football Opens Season

The McPherson Bullpups youth football program opened their 2025 season with a mix of results across multiple age divisions, highlighted by a dominant 46-0 victory for the 2nd grade team over Goddard. The youngest Bullpups showcased impressive teamwork and execution in their season opener, controlling both sides of the ball throughout the contest to record a comprehensive shutout victory that sets a positive tone for their campaign.

The older age groups faced stiffer competition against Andale, with results varying across the divisions. The 5th grade team delivered the most competitive performance of the day, falling just short in a thrilling 19-18 defeat that demonstrated their potential for the season ahead. The 3rd grade squad was edged 20-0, while the 4th grade team fell 49-0 in a learning experience against a strong Andale program. The 6th grade Bullpups fought hard but came up short 37-12 in their opener. Despite the challenging results for several age groups, opening weekend provided valuable experience and opportunities for growth as the young players continue developing their skills throughout the season.
