McPherson USD 418 invites community to meet third superintendent finalist

MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson community members have the opportunity today to evaluate the third candidate vying to become the next superintendent of McPherson USD 418. A public come-and-go reception for Bill Biermann will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. at the district's Central Office, 514 N. Main St., giving parents, students and staff a chance to ask questions and assess his vision for local schools before his formal interview with the Board of Education.

Biermann has served as superintendent of Goodland USD 352 since 2011, following a stint as superintendent of schools for the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City. He joins a candidate pool that includes McPherson Assistant Superintendent Ty Rhodes and Moundridge USD 423 Superintendent Cody Rierson, who both completed their interviews earlier as the school board works to finalize its hiring decision by the end of April. Information about the candidates was provided by the district.
