McPherson Soccer Dominates El Dorado in 8-0 Home Victory
Morales and Valadez combine for seven goals as Bullpups cruise to mercy-rule win

The McPherson varsity soccer team delivered a dominant offensive performance in their 8-0 home victory, triggering the mercy rule with an eight-goal halftime lead that allowed them to play just 40 minutes. After enduring four consecutive road games against tough opponents over seven days, the Bullpups finally had the opportunity to showcase their offensive capabilities on familiar turf.
Manny Morales and Yahir Valadez starred in the rout, combining for seven goals and multiple assists in a dazzling display of teamwork. Morales opened the scoring with assistance from Grayson Broadus, then added three more goals with help from Valadez twice and one assist to Ben Bocox, who scored the third goal. Valadez contributed three goals of his own, including two assisted by Morales and one unassisted strike. McPherson outshot their opponents 12-3, with goalkeeper Gabe Standfast making three saves to preserve the shutout. The lopsided victory provided a welcome opportunity for the Bullpups to rest key players and build confidence after their challenging road stretch, while allowing reserves to gain valuable experience moving forward on the field. The team now prepares for another demanding stretch of games ahead.
