McPherson Schools Superintendent Named Executive Director of ESSDACK
Dr. Shiloh Vincent will leave USD 418 in June after nine years leading the district
MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Unified School District 418 Superintendent Dr. Shiloh Vincent announced Thursday morning he has been appointed the next executive director of ESSDACK, a regional education service agency based in Hutchinson. The ESSDACK Board of Directors made the appointment on Wednesday, March 4, according to an email obtained by Citizen Journal.
Vincent said he will remain in his role as superintendent through June 2026 and will work with the USD 418 Board of Education to ensure a smooth transition. In the email to district families, he said serving the McPherson community over the past nine years has been “an incredible honor.”
The announcement comes days after voters approved the district’s bond proposal. Vincent said USD 418 is “well-positioned for continued progress” and expressed confidence that the foundation built by staff, students, families and community will carry forward. The district will begin a search for his successor as the transition timeline takes shape.
