McPherson school board to vote on staff pay raises Friday

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Unified School District 418 Board of Education will hold a special meeting Friday morning to vote on a new labor contract and wage increases for district staff. The board is scheduled to consider ratifying the 2025-26 negotiated agreement—typically covering certified teachers—and separately approving a matching 2.25% pay raise for administrative and classified employees, a group that includes support roles such as paraeducators, custodians, and secretarial staff. The agenda notes the proposed increase for support staff is intended to be consistent with the raise allocated for the certified staff pool. The meeting is set for 11 a.m. at the district office, 514 N. Main St.
